For the Love of Landscapes - A Gift for Her (or yourself) She will LOVE!

Hey cutie! You know what time of year it is again, it’s the Valentine’s Day season. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE, love! One thing I also love is earrings and the chance to spice up whatever I am wearing with some killer accessories.

I have some news for you! I just released a new collection of polymer clay earrings that combine two of my favorite things; love and landscapes. We all see the influx of heart-shaped jewelry that comes upon us this time each year, but hear me out. In the “I Love Landscapes” earring collection, I have showed my love for a variety of different American landscapes in so many cute and fun ways.

Let’s jump right into every aspect of this new painted earring collection. I want to share with you why I went in this direction with these handcrafted earrings, and you’ll discover that you love them as much as I do.

I Love the Desert

I am going to be a little bit bias here (of course for many reasons), but this pair is absolutely my favorite out of the jewelry I made in this collection. That is why I had to keep a pair for myself instead of having them all available in my shop (sorry!). When brainstorming ideas for a Valentine’s Day accessory shop update, I didn't want it to be the cliché kind of hearts we always see as we approach February. These cute little earrings had to be true to myself and my artistic style.

If you didn’t know already, the desert has GOT to be my favorite type of landscape that I travel to across the United States. It’s the cacti, the miles and miles of untouched land, the animals that are so unlike the ones I grew up around in Kansas, and the mountains and valleys. These earrings were the first ones I created for this drop because it came easy to me to share my love for the desert on my ears (and yours). The bright orange and red rolling hills are the perfect contrast to the green cactus and yellow background. The perfect testament to the desert and a great expression for anyone that loves that place as much as I do.

I Love the Prairie

My FAVORITE part about these earrings is the beautiful contrast between the pink and the green. They just really pop in the most stunning way. So my love for the prairie comes from being a Kansas girl born and raised. When you live in the flattest part of America, where we are known for our “amber waves of grain”, you find a way to appreciate the beautiful subtleties the landscape does provide.

Something I love about the prairie, is how you can stand in the middle of an open field and see for miles. I recall times where I could see storms pop up across the horizon coming from several towns without a drop of water hitting where I was standing. Not everyone shares the same sentiment as I do when it comes to prairie lands in the midwest, but I hope these earrings put its beauty into a new light.

I Love the Mountains

When I got to pulling out my blue clay, I instantly thought of the mountains. There’s just something about towering mountain peeks surrounded by a bright, blue sky that captures my heart. I painted both the contrast of a white, snowy mountain peek, with the green foliage that may cover the valleys around it. Think about how amazing it is that such a vast landscape can occur within miles of each other. I wanted to capture that wonder in these cute little earrings.

Being from a place with no mountains at all, I have both a fear and sense of respect when I come across states like Colorado. The mountains give a sense of wondery that cannot be felt anywhere else. It always feels like there is a mystery upon those peeks that just needs to be discovered.

I Love the Forest

Another beautiful combo made in heaven! I had to combine purple and green together because they just look oh-so nice. So here we have the lovely “I Love the Forest” earrings inspired by the woodsy areas that engulf so much of the American landscape.

These little cuties are painted with one of my favorite things to see in the forest — evergreen trees or pine trees. The abundance of trees and wildlife you find in the forest takes you in as you explore what’s inside. It is my personal favorite place to hike. As you wander through the unknown, you can experience all of the animals and nature around you as the sun peaks through the canopy of trees. You get a similar sensation when you sport these cuties on your ears.

I truly hope you enjoy this new painted clay earring collection as much as I do and snag a pair for yourself or a loved one before Valentine’s Day. All of these earrings in the collection are made of polymer clay, are very lightweight, and are held together with gold hardware. Each earring is painted with acrylic paint and glossed over with a clay binding gloss. They make the perfect little statement accessory to dress up any outfit.

I can’t wait to see how you use these lovely polymer clay earrings to accessorize your outfits! Head over to my shop to grab yourself a pair of cute statement earrings before they are gone!
